This is a locum tenens inpatient physician role requiring board certification or eligibility, with shifts including 10-hour days, evening shifts, and 24-hour call coverage. The position is ongoing, starting as soon as credentialed, with no visa sponsorship provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient medical care in a hospital setting, including coverage for 24-hour call shifts.
- Work scheduled shifts of 10 hours, including four consecutive days within a week, and evening shifts as scheduled.
- Respond to patient needs and manage acute cases in a level one trauma center and surgery center.
- Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management.
- Maintain compliance with credentialing requirements and hospital policies.
- Participate in on-call duties, including responding to emergencies during scheduled call periods.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital and regulatory standards for inpatient care.
Compensation
- Rate is open; provider's going rate is requested.
- Compensation is on a 1099 tax basis.
- Malpractice insurance coverage is provided.

Shift & Schedule
- Variable schedule with 10-hour shifts, including four consecutive days within a week.

- Work hours typically around 10 hours per shift, with some shifts extending to 24 hours for call.
Requirements
- Board certified or truly board eligible in the relevant specialty.
- Active, unrestricted Missouri medical license.
- Clean malpractice background and no issues with the NPDB.
- Ability to respond promptly to call and patient needs.
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred.
- Availability to start as soon as credentialed.
- Willingness to work variable schedules, including day, evening, and call shifts.
- Excellent communication and clinical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hospital setting.
