The Hughston Surgical Center of Valdosta is seeking a dedicated Anesthesia Assistant to support orthopedic cases. Responsibilities

• Assist with anesthesia delivery for orthopedic cases at the surgical center.
• Support the anesthesia team in maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure smooth operative procedures.
• Participate in preoperative assessments and post-operative care as needed.
• Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care and patient records.
• Support the anesthesia team in managing anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Contribute to a team environment focused on clinical excellence and patient care.

Compensation

• $190,000 per year for 0.75 FTE (30 hours/week)
• Sign-on bonus of $75,000 with a 2-year commitment
• Additional income opportunities as caseload increases
• Compensation is paid via W-2 salary
• Additional income sources include sign-on bonus and CME allowance

Shift & Schedule

• Part-time schedule: 3 days per week, Monday through Wednesday
• 10-hour shifts each day
• Variable schedule with potential for hours and compensation expansion as caseload grows

Requirements

• Certification as an Anesthesia Assistant or equivalent credential.
• Experience supporting orthopedic anesthesia cases preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment.

• Flexibility to work a 10-hour shift schedule, Monday through Wednesday.
