VillageMD is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our primary care practice in Livonia, MI. The role involves providing comprehensive outpatient care to pediatric and adult patients, with a focus on delivering high-quality, connected healthcare within a value-based model. The provider will work in a collaborative environment, supporting positive health outcomes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive or episodic health histories and physical assessments of pediatric and adult patients.
• Manage acute, chronic, and potential health problems across a diverse patient population.
• Work autonomously within the outpatient setting, adhering to clinical protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, preferably Athena.
• Participate in scheduled shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and every third Saturday.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, DEA registration, and Medicare/Medicaid enrollment requirements.
• Provide patient education and support health promotion activities.

Requirements

• Graduate and certified from an accredited advanced practice program.
• Two or more years of outpatient clinical experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
• Current, unrestricted license in the practicing state or eligibility for licensure.
• Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
• Active Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility to enroll.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Comfortable using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferably Athena.
• Willingness to work variable schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and every third Saturday.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
