The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role involves conducting face-to-face assessments and ongoing psychiatric visits with clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. The position includes medication management, maintaining detailed patient records, and instructing caregivers. The role supports a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations in outpatient and telepsychiatry settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform face-to-face assessments and psychiatric visits with clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults.
• Manage and monitor client medications.
• Maintain accurate and current patient records documenting problems, plans, actions, goals, and changes.
• Instruct and educate client caregivers.
• Collaborate with a team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.
• Participate in outpatient and telepsychiatry services.
• Travel throughout the assigned service area as needed.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and documentation standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• PMHNP license required.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental, and behavioral health services.
• Experience with outpatient and telepsychiatry preferred.
