The Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Genesis HealthCare System provides comprehensive patient care in the ambulatory and acute settings under physician supervision. The role involves conducting assessments, performing diagnostic and routine procedures, managing treatments, and participating in discharge planning across various specialties, with a focus on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Perform routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
• Manage and monitor medications within the scope of prescriptive authority.
• Assist in managing complex illnesses and injuries, including in-hospital consultations and discharge planning.
• Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including review of records and treatment outcomes.
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records.
• Respond to patient and family needs, providing education on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Compensation

• Hourly wage of USD 10.00 per hour.

• Work schedule is Monday through Friday.
• 10-hour day shifts.
• Schedule includes variable call shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) training program.
• Current Ohio RN and APRN licensure.
• Valid Ohio certificate of authority and prescriptive authority (or eligibility).
• Current DEA registration (for Interventional Radiology, if applicable).
• Experience in acute, surgical, critical care, or trauma settings preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of hire; additional certifications such as ACLS may be required based on specialty.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
