Responsibilities
- Evaluate the need for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and prescribe accordingly.
- Perform patient examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, and interpret tests.
- Assess the need for patient referrals and follow-up with medical specialists as needed.
- Counsel on preventive health care and assist in procedures.
- Write prescriptions and exercise medical autonomy in decision-making.
- Provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
- Conduct hospital rounding if required.
- Monitor staff performance, provide medical consultation, and maintain accurate patient records.

Requirements
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program with at least two years of experience in an ambulatory care setting.
- Current and valid PA medical license.
- Knowledge of general medicine, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and injuries.
- Knowledge of current developments in general medicine and procedures.
- Understanding of preventive medicine principles and practices.
- Knowledge of medical jurisprudence.
- Ability to examine patients, diagnose diseases, and prescribe treatments.
- Ability to interpret x-rays and laboratory reports to aid diagnosis.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and staff.
- Must successfully obtain criminal, child abuse, and FBI background clearances and not be excluded from federal health programs.
