The Nurse Practitioner will provide medical care to individuals with substance abuse and mental health disorders at Cenikor in Waco, TX. The role involves assessment, treatment, and documentation, supporting the organization's mission to serve the community through comprehensive healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical assessments and treatment to clients with substance abuse and mental health conditions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and organizational policies.
• Participate in professional development and training programs, including Cenikor Career Pathways.
• Adhere to professional standards and demonstrate positive, respectful communication with clients and staff.

• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize patient care tasks.

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Part-time schedule: Sunday and Monday, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm (flexible).
• Variable schedule hours, primarily daytime shifts.

Requirements

• Current licensure as RN or Nurse Practitioner.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience, preferably with individuals with substance abuse, mental health, or chemical dependency treatment.
• Knowledge of pharmacology related to substance abuse and mental health disorders.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse ethnic and cultural population.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Strong time management skills and resilience in a challenging environment.
• Demonstrates professionalism, self-motivation, and perseverance.
