Medcor is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide occupational and urgent care services at an employer-based clinic in Ottumwa, IA. The role involves delivering evidence-based clinical care, collaborating with medical and operational teams, and supporting workplace health programs. The position offers a flexible schedule with one 8-hour shift per week, focusing on injury treatment, wellness, and regulatory exams in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary clinical care including treatment of injuries and illnesses following evidence-based standards.
• Conduct pre-placement exams, medical surveillance, DOT examinations, and return-to-work evaluations.
• Collaborate with on-site medical staff, client health and safety professionals, and internal teams.
• Document patient encounters and manage clinical information using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Educate patients on medical conditions, treatment options, and healthy behaviors.
• Support client wellness and preventative health programs.
• Work closely with an overseeing physician and clinical leadership to ensure quality care.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and occupational health requirements.

Compensation

• Hourly rate between USD 62.00 and USD 70.00, based on relevant experience.
• W-2 employment tax status.

Requirements

• Valid unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Current DEA and BLS certifications.
• DOT certification (may be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, outgoing personality and collaborative team approach.
• Willingness to work in an on-site clinic environment.
• Occupational health experience preferred.
• Previous work-site clinic experience is a plus.
