The University of Alaska Fairbanks Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician to provide comprehensive ambulatory healthcare and health education to university students. The role involves addressing both physical and mental health concerns within an interdisciplinary environment, supporting student healthcare needs during the academic year and part-time during summer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary healthcare services to university students, including diagnosis, treatment, and health education.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program at the master's level or higher, with Alaska licensure and prescriptive authority, including DEA eligibility.
  • Or a medical degree from an accredited medical school, with Alaska medical license and prescriptive authority, including DEA eligibility.
  • Current Alaska license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Strong interest in addressing both physical and mental health concerns of students.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality.
  • Experience in outpatient or ambulatory care preferred.
  • Ability to work part-time during the academic year and summer terms.
