Responsibilities

• Provide health assessments and deliver patient care independently and in collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Assist in trauma surgeries as a first assist in the operating room, rotating with other APPs.
• Manage a diverse patient population across all ages, emphasizing trauma and acute care needs.
• Participate in scheduled 10-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evening hours.
• Respond to 12-hour night call shifts, averaging 2-3 per month.
• Contribute to health promotion and disease prevention efforts for individuals and families.

Compensation

• Salary range: $119,600 to $167,440 (W-2).

Shift & Schedule

• 10-hour shifts scheduled on a variable basis.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota.
• Current CPR certification and applicable national certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of NP/PA experience, preferably in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery.
• Experience with trauma patient management and OR first assist duties preferred.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to establish positive patient and team relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative trauma team.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and night calls.
• Excellent decision-making and health assessment skills.
