Cadillac Hospital is seeking board-certified or eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians, as well as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with ICU experience, to cover open ICU beds. The role involves managing critically ill patients, running codes and rapid responses, and performing procedures such as central lines, intubations, and arterial lines. The position offers day and night shifts with telebackup support, within a hospital recognized for high-quality care in northern Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Manage ICU patients, including running codes and rapid responses with physician backup.
• Perform procedures such as central lines, intubations, and arterial lines, with training and proctoring available.
• Manage ventilator support for critically ill patients, with training provided.
• Cover 12-hour shifts on day or night schedule, with variable scheduling requirements.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in hospital quality initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols.
• Utilize telemedicine support for night shift coverage.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with hospital policies.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine for physicians.
• Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Minimum of 1 year hospitalist and/or ICU experience.
• Experience with ICU procedures such as central lines, intubations, arterial lines, and ventilator management.
• Ability to run codes and rapid responses independently or with backup.
• Willingness to work variable shifts, including nights.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a supportive team environment.
• Training and proctoring available for specific procedures.
• Eligible for J1 visa sponsorship.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
