UNC Women's Health at Eden is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn services. The role involves performing physical exams, managing labor and delivery, conducting diagnostic procedures, and prescribing interventions within a collaborative practice environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate midwifery care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients.
• Perform physical examinations, document clinical data, and manage labor and delivery, including spontaneous births.
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and coordinate professional consultations.
• Prescribe medications and interventions appropriate to patient care.
• Collaborate with a team of OB-GYNs and Nurse Practitioners within UNC Women's Health.
• Deliver approximately 10 births per month per provider.
• Maintain compliance with clinical and credentialing standards at UNC Health.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday workweek.
• Day shift hours from 8 am to 5 pm, with Friday mornings until noon.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited CNM training program.
• Current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Certification as a Nurse Midwife.
• At least three years of clinical nursing experience.
• One or more years of full panel midwifery experience preferred.
• Meet criteria for medical staff credentials at UNC Health Rockingham.
• Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday mornings.
• Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
