The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) at East Cascade Women's Group provides comprehensive prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological care to women in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role involves managing own obstetric patients, assisting with surgeries, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care. The position requires flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide prenatal care, including physical exams, testing, counseling, and education to pregnant women.
• Manage and deliver obstetric patients independently, including admissions and postpartum care.
• Assist physicians with cesarean sections and other surgical procedures.
• Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, referring to physicians as needed.
• Conduct postpartum visits, including assessments, breastfeeding support, and newborn care counseling.
• Provide gynecological services such as exams, contraceptive counseling, and treatment of common conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate patient records.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
• Master’s degree in Nursing with specialization in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
