The Physician Assistant (PA-C) supports orthopedic surgeons by providing direct patient care, assisting in surgical procedures, and managing preoperative and postoperative care within a multi-location orthopedic practice. The role involves clinical examinations, diagnostic testing, therapeutic procedures, patient education, and collaboration with the care team under physician supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provides healthcare services to patients under the supervision of an assigned physician.
  • Performs physical examinations, compiles medical histories, and interprets diagnostic test results.

  • Consults with physicians regarding patient condition and treatment plans.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
  • Develops and implements patient management plans, documents progress, and ensures continuity of care.
  • Educates and counsels patients on treatment adherence, health maintenance, and related topics.
  • Assists in the operating room with designated duties based on training and credentials.

Requirements
