The Physician Assistant at Vantage Radiology & Diagnostic Services provides clinical care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. Under supervision, the PA conducts pre- and post-procedural assessments, performs minor interventional procedures, and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care. Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including pre- and post-procedural assessments and follow-up.
  • Perform minor interventional procedures such as PICC line placement, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesis, arthrogram injections, and feeding tube placements once proficient.
  • Conduct outpatient clinic follow-ups, including patient follow-up and procedure monitoring at the Breast Center.
  • Act as a liaison with referring providers, assist in developing educational materials, and participate in outreach to promote radiology services.
  • Participate in inpatient rounds, collaborate with hospital staff, and build relationships with hospitalists, residents, and nursing staff.
  • Coordinate clinic operations with hospital department managers and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Attend professional development activities, maintain certifications, and participate in hospital and committee meetings.
  • Prescribe, order, administer, and monitor sedation in an imaging center environment.

Compensation

  • Salary compensation model (W-2 tax status).

Benefits

Shift & Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Every other Thursday off.
  • Possibility of limited weekend call rotation.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current PA licensure in Washington State and NCCPA certification.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Current DEA number or eligibility to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • Familiarity with EPIC systems preferred.
  • One year of professional experience preferred; strong interest in radiology considered for new graduates.
  • Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures, safety standards, and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Skilled in patient assessment, problem-solving, and maintaining health records.
  • Able to react calmly in emergent situations and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
