A.T. Still University's Central Coast Physician Assistant Program is seeking part-time faculty to support didactic education on the Santa Maria campus. The role involves facilitating small-group learning, contributing to curriculum implementation, and supporting student assessment within a culturally diverse environment dedicated to serving underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of in-person didactic courses 1-2 days per week through facilitation of small-group learning on campus.
• Collaborate with didactic faculty to promote the program's mission of serving underrepresented groups and providing culturally humble care.
• Support the implementation of a blended learning curriculum model.
• Participate in educating a diverse student body committed to the program's holistic admissions process.
• Contribute to developing and implementing assessment strategies for the pre-clinical phase.
• Assist in preparing students to meet program benchmarks such as PACKRAT and PANCE exams.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with ARC-PA accreditation standards and best practices in PA education.

Compensation

• Annual salary of USD 24,000 based on a 0.2 FTE schedule.
• Salary is paid as a W-2 employee.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable days, 1-2 days per week for in-person teaching.
• No call requirements.

Requirements

• Prior academic experience in medical education (preferred).
• Substantial clinical experience (preferred).
• Experience or employment within Community Health Centers or clinical sites associated with the program (preferred).
• Ability to articulate contributions to the program's mission and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with diverse learning styles and collaborate with faculty colleagues.
• Ability to perform duties autonomously and maintain confidentiality.
• Licensure in or eligibility for licensure in California as a PA, NP, or physician.
• Current NCCPA Certification (preferred).
