The Miami Valley Hospitalist Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to provide primary healthcare services in a hospital-based setting. The role involves collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to deliver continuous patient care under physician supervision, primarily during daytime hours on weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care and continuity of medical services in collaboration with physicians and clinical staff.
• Assess patient medical histories, evaluate medical conditions, and interpret clinical findings.
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA laws and maintain professional discretion.
• Utilize electronic medical records, preferably EPIC, and demonstrate computer literacy.
• Adhere to the responsibilities and scope defined by the specific position and specialty.

Compensation

• Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday schedule.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Ohio licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) and valid Certificate to Prescribe.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility.
• One year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or ACNP preferred.
• Experience in critical care nursing is preferred.
• Evidence of malpractice insurance coverage.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA laws and professional discretion.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records experience.
