A full-time, permanent Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant position is available in Chesapeake, Virginia. The role involves assisting in cardiac surgeries, performing endoscopic vein harvesting, ICU and floor rounding, and providing comprehensive perioperative patient care within a collaborative surgical team. Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including first assist in the operating room.
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH).
• Conduct ICU and floor rounding for perioperative patient management.
• Provide comprehensive perioperative patient care.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Requirements

• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Experience as a first assist in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH).
• Experience with ICU and hospital floor rounding.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, team-oriented setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Current licensure or ability to obtain licensure in Virginia.
• Minimal clinic responsibilities, primarily surgical and perioperative care.
