Pulse-MD Urgent Care is seeking certified Nurse Practitioners (FNP) for full-time and part-time positions at our Mohegan Lake and Mahopac locations in New York. The practice is physician-owned with direct involvement from partners, offering a collaborative work environment. The clinics operate daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., requiring providers to work 12-hour shifts, with full-time staff typically working three shifts per week and part-time staff at least two shifts. Candidates should have experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency room, or internal medicine.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop diagnoses.
- Consult with or refer patients to specialists when conditions exceed scope of practice.
- Counsel patients on drug regimens, side effects, and interactions with other substances.
- Detect and respond to adverse drug reactions, especially in vulnerable populations.
- Diagnose or treat acute health problems such as illnesses, infections, or injuries.
- Diagnose or treat complex, unstable, or emergency conditions in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients on self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to individual circumstances.
- Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as CBCs, EKGs, and radiographs.
Compensation

Requirements
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency room, or internal medicine.
- Ability to analyze and interpret diagnostic information.
- Experience in diagnosing and treating acute and complex health conditions.
- Knowledge of state legal regulations relevant to practice.
- Ability to perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, immunizations, and wound debridement.
- Experience with diagnostic testing and interpretation.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Flexibility to work at multiple locations as needed.
- Preferred: ER or Urgent Care experience and DOT certification.
