The Family Nurse Practitioner at SSTAR provides primary and acute healthcare services within a Federally Qualified Health Center, addressing the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of patients. The role involves clinical care, documentation, collaboration with medical staff, and participation in on-call rotations, supporting a community-focused health and addiction treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides primary and acute healthcare to patients according to the Scope of Practice signed by the Chief Medical Officer.
• Documents patient visits, telephone contacts, and diagnostic test reviews in patient charts.
• Reviews and follows up on labs and diagnostic tests.
• Provides care based on clinical protocols reviewed and approved annually by the CMO.
• Participates in staff and provider meetings.
• Consults and refers patients to physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
• Participates in an evening/weekend on-call rotation approximately once every 8 weeks.
• Attends conferences and training sessions relevant to clinic practice.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule days and hours.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Massachusetts license to practice in the expanded nursing role.
• Possession or ability to obtain prescription privileges in Massachusetts.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (CPR).
