The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide advanced practice surgical gynecology care at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. The role involves assisting in gynecological surgeries, managing outpatient and inpatient care, and collaborating with gynecologists and the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered services. The provider will participate in pre- and post-operative management, outpatient evaluations, and emergency support, ensuring high-quality care across all stages of treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of gynecological surgeries, including hysterectomies, myomectomies, and minimally invasive procedures.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care and education.
• Conduct outpatient evaluations for conditions such as menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain, fibroids, and manage family planning and menopause issues.
• Order, interpret, and monitor diagnostic tests including ultrasounds and laboratory results.
• Provide inpatient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with gynecologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in emergency gynecological on-call duties and support acute care needs.
• Educate patients on preventive health, including Pap smears, STI screenings, and chronic condition management like endometriosis and PCOS.

• Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Requirements

• MA Advanced Practice Provider license (NP or PA certification).
• Current prescriptive authority including DEA registration.
• Strong surgical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with gynecological procedures and outpatient management.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to variable schedules and on-call duties.
• Compassionate patient care and excellent communication skills.
• Preferred: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Willingness to support hospital policies including vaccination requirements.
