We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to provide urgent care services at our Brooklyn, NY location. The provider will examine, diagnose, and treat patients with injuries and illnesses, under physician supervision, in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role involves ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients, with a focus on delivering compassionate, community-oriented care.

Responsibilities

• Interview, examine, and diagnose patients' injuries and illnesses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle modifications.
• Review and maintain patients' medical histories and records.
• Document patient encounters for insurance purposes.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families.
• Work primarily during afternoon and evening shifts, mainly 1 PM to 12 AM, with some variations.
• Provide care in a well-established, growing urgent care facility.

Compensation

• Hourly pay rate between $75.00 and $95.00 USD.
• Compensation is provided as a W-2 employee.
• Pay rate may vary based on experience and qualifications.

Shift & Schedule

• Mostly shifts from 1 PM to 12 AM.
• Open hours include 8 AM to 6 PM on Fridays and 9 PM to 1 AM on Saturdays.
• Schedule is variable and may include different shifts.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting.
• Ability to examine patients, diagnose conditions, and provide treatment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Licensed Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner credentialing.
• Ability to work under physician supervision.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, primarily afternoon to late evening shifts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and patient-centered approach.
• Experience ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Proficiency in documenting medical records and insurance documentation.
