Mercy Urgent Care in Western North Carolina is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner to provide high-quality care for non-emergent conditions. The role involves diagnostic evaluation, minor procedures, and patient management, contributing to a longstanding healthcare legacy established by the Sisters of Mercy since 1900.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests, analyze results, and collect comprehensive patient information, including medical histories, physical examinations, allergies, and current medications.
• Maintain professional relationships with clinical staff, managers, and fellow practitioners.
• Administer minor treatments such as suturing and splinting, and oversee their application when necessary.
• Provide analysis and treatment for patients of all ages and genders, maintaining accurate progress notes and offering counseling for referrals.
• Conduct health exams, obtain medical histories, and document detailed progress notes.

Compensation

• Salary plus incentives, including a sign-on bonus of $12,000.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited PA or FNP program.
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina.
• Current BLS or ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and strong computer skills.
