Valley Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its Surgical Oncology and Colorectal Surgery team at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. The role involves providing inpatient and outpatient surgical services, with opportunities for cross-training in both specialties. The position offers a full-time schedule with no weekend or on-call responsibilities, along with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures within the Surgical Oncology and Colorectal Surgery departments, approximately 40-60% of FTE.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical care to patients.
• Collaborate with a team of surgeons and physician assistants to deliver comprehensive cancer care.
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient management.
• Support the surgical team during procedures as a first assist in the operating room.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting with a state-of-the-art Cancer Center.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and cross-training in surgical specialties.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant certification and licensure.

• Willingness to be cross-trained in Surgical Oncology and Colorectal Surgery.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, dayshift, with no call responsibilities.
