The Clinical Nurse Manager in the Neuro Critical Care Unit oversees the delivery of evidence-based patient care, manages unit operations and personnel, and provides leadership in clinical practice and quality improvement initiatives. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, staff development, and participation in hospital committees to promote safe, efficient, and culturally competent care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring the delivery of evidence-based patient care by nursing staff, including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation.
• Coordinate nursing care with other healthcare disciplines and participate in process improvement activities.
• Support staffing planning, scheduling, and resource allocation based on patient volume and care needs.
• Maintain daily unit operations, including staffing, patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Participate in recruitment, staff evaluation, orientation, training, and professional development.
• Contribute to fiscal management by utilizing resources efficiently and supporting service development.
• Engage in professional development, interdepartmental collaboration, and leadership activities.
• Support and promote a culture of safety, quality, and evidence-based practice within the unit.

Compensation

• Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Shift & Schedule

• Variable days and nights schedule.
• Scheduled weekly hours: 40 hours.
• Shift timing: Night shift.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
• Current RN licensure with the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• 2-3 years of nursing experience in related or similar clinical areas.
• Previous leadership experience such as precepting, charge nurse, or clinical lead roles.
• Knowledge of nursing processes, clinical skills, and standards of practice.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications relevant to nursing practice.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to variable schedules.
• Specialized training or experience in neuro-critical care is preferred.
