Methodist Medical Group is seeking a full-time nocturnist Physician Assistant to provide trauma care at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX. The PA will collaborate with trauma specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to manage postoperative trauma patients in the ICU, critical care, and trauma floors. The role supports the hospital's pursuit of Level 2 trauma designation and involves working closely with the Trauma Medical Director in a high-acuity, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on trauma patients postoperatively in the ICU, critical care, and trauma floors.
• Collaborating with trauma physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Assisting in the management of trauma cases and participating in trauma team activities.
• Working closely with the Trauma Medical Director to ensure quality care delivery.
• Providing bedside assessment and intervention for trauma patients during night shifts.
• Documenting patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Participating in quality improvement and safety initiatives related to trauma care.
• Maintaining current knowledge of trauma protocols and best practices.

Compensation

• Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule with night shifts.

Requirements

• Postgraduate experience in ICU, critical care, or trauma units preferred.
• Strong interest in trauma medicine and patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Current Physician Assistant licensure and certification.
• Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in trauma or critical care.
• Flexibility to work variable night shifts.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Prior experience with trauma or ICU patients is a plus but not mandatory.
