Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care within a collaborative healthcare team. The role involves managing prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, supporting labor and delivery, and offering well-woman gynecologic services, with on-call responsibilities to support obstetric needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for obstetric patients.
- Support labor and delivery, including low-intervention births and medical management assistance.
- Deliver well-woman gynecologic care, including routine screenings, contraceptive counseling, and menopausal care.
- Educate and counsel patients to promote reproductive health and wellness.
- Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff for coordinated patient care.
- Assess and manage emergency and high-risk obstetric cases in coordination with maternal-fetal medicine specialists.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices in midwifery and maternal health.
- Provide on-call coverage to support laboring patients and obstetric triage as part of the CNM team.

Requirements
- Active North Carolina license or ability to obtain one as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
- Board Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
- Valid North Carolina RN and CNM licenses.
- DEA License.
- Certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of midwifery experience preferred; strong clinical training considered for new graduates.
- Commitment to patient-centered care with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
