The Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP), including Physician Assistants (PA) and Nurse Practitioners (NP), works collaboratively with physicians in outpatient primary care settings such as family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. The role involves providing patient care, performing minimally invasive procedures, and managing a stable patient population in both in-person and Telehealth formats.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians to deliver outpatient primary care services in accordance with state laws and practice agreements.
  • Perform minimally invasive procedures as authorized within scope of practice.
  • Manage a stable patient population, providing comprehensive assessments and treatment plans.
  • Promote quality improvement initiatives and patient safety.
  • Work under supervision and in consultation with a physician, adhering to Standard Care Arrangements or Supervision Agreements.
  • Practice within the delineation of privileges and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide patient education and support health promotion efforts.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with all clinical and legal standards.

Compensation

  • Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Day shift, 8-hour workdays.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (CNP) from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners or equivalent.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Ohio.
  • Supervision or collaboration agreement with a licensed physician.
  • Experience in outpatient primary care preferred.
  • Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing APP practice.
  • Strong communication and clinical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Commitment to quality care and continuous learning.
