OhioHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant to join a neurocritical care team in Central Ohio. The role involves managing a 32-bed neurocritical care unit, working closely with experienced physicians and APPs. The PA will provide patient care in a highly autonomous environment, with opportunities to develop skills in neurointubation and line placements. This position is suitable for new graduates or those with neuro experience or fellowship training.

Responsibilities

• Manage a 32-bed neurocritical care unit, typically caring for 8 patients on day shifts and 16 on night shifts per PA.
• Collaborate closely with neurocritical care physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Perform procedures such as intubations and placement of arterial and central lines.
• Utilize electronic medical records and electronic prescribing systems.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Adapt to variable schedules, including day and night shifts.

Compensation

Requirements

• PA license in Ohio.
• Open to new graduates with a passion for neuro care or candidates with neuro fellowship or experience.
