This PRN anesthesia position involves providing coverage across various surgical specialties, including general, neuro, gynecology, oral & maxillofacial surgery, ENT, plastics, podiatry, and urology. The role requires working with paper records in a facility with five anesthesia rooms, under supervision with a 5:1 MD-to-anesthetist ratio. Malpractice insurance with tail coverage is provided, along with travel and lodging support.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties as needed.
• Manage anesthesia cases in a facility with five operating rooms using paper charting.
• Coordinate with supervising physicians and adhere to facility protocols.
• Maintain patient safety and monitor anesthesia during procedures.
• Complete documentation and record-keeping for each case.
• Work on a PRN basis with variable scheduling requirements.
• Collaborate with a team of MDs and anesthesia staff.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant medical standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Licensed anesthesiologist or CRNA with appropriate credentials.
• Experience in general, neuro, gynecology, oral & maxillofacial, ENT, plastics, podiatry, or urology anesthesia.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to variable schedules.
• Proficiency in managing anesthesia in a paper record environment.
• Strong patient safety and monitoring skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work PRN with flexible hours.
• Current malpractice insurance coverage or willingness to obtain.
