This surgical hospital position involves providing anesthesia services for outpatient and inpatient cases, primarily in orthopedics, general surgery, spine, plastics, endoscopy, ophthalmology, gynecology, and pediatrics. The role offers a balanced schedule with no overnight or weekend shifts, and a supportive team environment. The provider must be proficient in spinal anesthesia and comfortable with a variety of surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures, including orthopedics, general surgery, spine, plastics, endoscopy, ophthalmology, gynecology, and pediatrics.
• Perform spinal anesthesia as required, with support available from the surgical team for difficult cases.
• Manage anesthesia care within scheduled hours, with no scheduled cases past 5 pm.
• Participate in a medically directed team consisting of 2-3 physicians and 7-9 anesthetic assistants or CRNAs.
• Rotate responsibilities for being the late provider; no overnight or weekend call required.
• Provide anesthesia care in a hospital setting with approximately 40-60 cases daily.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout perioperative care.
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Compensation

• $220,000 - $230,000 annual salary
• W-2 employment status
• Compensation model categorized as 'Other'

Requirements

• Proficiency in spinal anesthesia placement.
• Current medical license and board certification in anesthesiology.
• Experience with outpatient surgical anesthesia preferred.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Comfort with a variety of surgical cases, excluding trauma, cardiac, and obstetrics.
• Availability to work weekdays during daytime hours.
• Willingness to participate in optional on-inpatient call for additional compensation.
