Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and PNP-ACs with NICU experience to provide advanced neonatal care at our main hospital campus. The role involves patient assessment, developing and implementing care plans, performing diagnostic procedures, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Candidates must hold an Ohio license and national certification relevant to their role.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and/or populations; develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care; document and communicate clinical information.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines.
  • Serve as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills based on evidence-based practice.
  • Assist in the education, training, and development of staff members.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, data collection, and staying informed of changes within the work unit.
  • Leverage technology and informatics to optimize healthcare outcomes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development for self and team.
  • Contribute to division, specialty, and hospital strategic goals.

Compensation

  • Salary-based compensation.

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Master of Science degree or equivalent.
  • Licensed as an APRN or PA in Ohio.
  • Maintains national certification as an APRN or PA in the appropriate population focus.
  • Two years of NICU experience preferred, especially level IV NICU experience.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as per guidelines.
  • Current Ohio Advanced Practice License.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and quality improvement.
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, standing, and repetitive movements.
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts in a hospital setting.
