This is a locum CRNA position in Miami, Florida, at a large hospital located approximately 20 minutes from Miami International Airport. The role involves providing anesthesia services across a variety of cases, including general, neuro, GI, ENT, vascular, gynecology, obstetrics, orthopedic, thoracic, plastics, and pediatrics, with specific procedures such as spinals and epidurals. The assignment offers flexible scheduling with 8- or 10-hour daytime shifts, no call responsibilities, and weekend coverage approximately two days per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a wide variety of surgical cases, including general, neuro, GI, ENT, vascular, gynecology, obstetrics, orthopedic, thoracic, plastics, and pediatrics.
• Perform procedures such as spinals and epidurals.
• Work collaboratively within a large, state-of-the-art hospital environment with a team of healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care using Cerner charting system.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Cover scheduled shifts on weekdays, with weekend shifts approximately two times per month (12 hours each).
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout perioperative care.
• Participate in a collegial and team-oriented work environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8- or 10-hour daytime shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
• No call responsibilities.
• Weekend shifts approximately two days per month, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), not necessarily consecutive.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia experience.
• Current and valid CRNA certification.
• Proficiency in performing spinals and epidurals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and clinical skills.
• Clean credentialing files (within 90 days).
• Willingness to work flexible daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
• Ability to handle a diverse case load across multiple surgical specialties.

• Experience working in a hospital setting preferred.
