Adena Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery team in Chillicothe, Ohio. The role involves outpatient and inpatient care, assisting with surgical procedures, and supporting the cardiac surgeon in clinical and hospital settings. The position is part-time within the multispecialty Adena Medical Group, offering competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• See patients in the clinic and assist with hospital consults, rounding, discharges, and documentation.
• Participate in planning of patient care and procedures.
• Assist the cardiac surgeon in the operating room, including vein harvesting.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient coverage based on surgical volume and cases.
• Support surgical procedures and assist in the OR as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR (Epic).
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure quality patient care.
• Work variable hours depending on surgical schedule and volume.

Compensation

• Salary plus incentives, with a sign-on bonus of $5,000.
• Relocation assistance of $15,000.
• Additional income opportunities include sign-on bonus, relocation support, and CME allowance.
• W-2 tax status.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Ability to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Epic.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on surgical schedule.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant in Ohio.
• Experience in cardiac or surgical specialties is a plus.
• Must have a collaborative team-oriented approach.
• Prior experience in a surgical or hospital setting preferred.
