SMMC is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our rural healthcare clinic in Salmon, Idaho. The role involves providing comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care to patients of all ages, with clinical autonomy under physician supervision. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical exams and patient assessments
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community health efforts
