AmeriWound is seeking a Wound Care Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant to provide wound management services in long-term care facilities around Columbus, Ohio. The role involves weekly facility rounds, diagnosis, medical procedures, and collaboration with facility staff, with no evening or weekend hours. Training is provided for those without wound care experience.

Responsibilities

• Round weekly at assigned facilities within the territory.
• Diagnose patient conditions through physical examination and telemedicine.
• Perform medical procedures such as debridement as necessary.
• Communicate and collaborate with facility clinical staff on findings and treatment plans.
• Inform patients about diagnoses and treatment goals.
• Document each patient encounter accurately in the EMR (APRIMA) and maintain medical records.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and facilities as needed.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs during patient care.

Compensation

• Uncapped W-2 earning potential, directly related to provider availability, documentation, patient encounters, and facilities covered.
• Projected annual salary of $215,000 to $225,000 for full-time providers.
• Additional incentives based on productivity.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday, approximately 7 am to 4 pm with flexible start times.
• No evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
• Part-time (2-3 days/week) or full-time (4-5 days/week) options available.

Requirements

• MD, DO, PA, or CRNP with active, unrestricted state medical license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in respective field.
• DEA license required.
• Valid driver license.
• Proficiency in EMR documentation with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to build rapport with facility staff and patients.
• Willingness to learn wound care procedures; training provided if needed.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of technical skill in medical documentation and patient care.
