The Nurse Practitioner will assist in evaluating and treating patients in an Urgent Care setting, primarily responsible for assessment, evaluation, and reviewing diagnostic reports under physician supervision. The role involves providing patient care during daytime hours on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients, including history and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret tests, review x-ray reports and lab results.
• Contact patients appropriately based on test results and assessments.
• Assist physicians in patient evaluation and treatment planning.
• Support patient care activities within the urgent care environment.
• Maintain current licensure and certifications required for practice.
• Participate in clinical documentation and record-keeping.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current RN license or NCCPA certification, maintained through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Certification from a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Graduated from an accredited post-Master's Nurse Practitioner or PA program.
• Three to five years of clinical nursing or advanced practice experience in an acute care setting.
• Full prescriptive authority within two years of employment.
• Must have specialized knowledge in urgent care procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work daytime hours, variable schedule, on a part-time basis.
