A not-for-profit health system in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for their Cardiac Critical Care Unit. This full-time, permanent nocturnist position involves working three 12-hour night shifts per week in a teaching hospital setting, focusing on cardiac critical care procedures and invasive interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute care in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit during night shifts.
• Perform invasive procedures including CVL and arterial line placement.
• Manage patients requiring mechanical circulatory support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive cardiac care.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs in a critical care environment.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to cardiac critical care.

Requirements

• Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support and invasive procedures.
• Proficiency in CVL and arterial line placement.
