The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will independently assess, diagnose, prescribe medications, and treat patients within the scope of practice defined by state law and practice setting protocols. The role includes developing care plans, providing patient education, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients based on age-specific and health maintenance needs, including performing physical exams, consultations, referrals, and ordering diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and pharmacologic interventions in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Perform therapeutic treatments such as wound care, suturing, minor office procedures, and drain removal.
• Coordinate triage and referrals, develop differential diagnoses, and create individualized care plans.
• Document clinical findings, assessments, and plans accurately in medical records, ensuring proper coding and billing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team members to provide comprehensive patient care and education.
• Participate in administrative duties including scheduling, staff orientation, precepting students, and call rotation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and practice standards.

Compensation

• Annual salary range: USD 101,571 to USD 167,442, commensurate with experience and internal equity.
• Compensation is provided via W-2 tax status.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Current New Jersey RN license and appropriate Advanced Practice Nurse licensure for the specialty.
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• CDS and DEA licensure.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education as mandated by state requirements.
• Experience in performing minor procedures and managing acute and chronic conditions.
