The Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) in Cardiology at Missouri Baptist Medical Center provides inpatient and outpatient care, managing patient populations through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The role involves hospital rounding, clinic work, patient education, and care coordination, with a focus on quality and wellness promotion. The position is full-time, benefits-eligible, and includes a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the healthcare of select patient populations through advanced assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation.
• Coordinate patient care to promote health and wellness, including education and referrals.
• Develop treatment plans and treat patients with acute problems such as illnesses and minor injuries following established protocols.
• Enter into a collaborative practice agreement with physicians to support clinical services.
• Assess staff development needs and deliver educational programs as appropriate.
• Provide hospital rounding and outpatient clinic services in a cardiology setting.
• Participate in a 1:7 weekend rotation schedule.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Program.
• Current licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Ability to perform advanced health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Experience or training in cardiology preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
