The outpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will provide medical care and clinical guidance to clients in a behavioral health outpatient setting. The role involves collaborating with medical providers, ensuring client safety, and participating in quality improvement initiatives at a new outpatient facility in Novi, MI. Responsibilities

  • Oversee medication management, including prescribing and monitoring treatment effectiveness.
  • Complete all required documentation related to assessments, medication management, and clinical observations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality and performance improvement processes to ensure adherence to licensure and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on medication management and incident reporting procedures.
  • Engage in peer-to-peer case review and advocacy as part of utilization review activities.
  • Maintain licensure, DEA registration, and meet all regulatory requirements for practice in Michigan.

Compensation

  • Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Requirements

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure within one year to practice in Michigan as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum of three years of psychological or clinical experience.
  • Working knowledge of psychotherapy, psychopathology, diagnostic assessment, and evidence-based treatment interventions.
  • Ability to develop and monitor comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable three-year driving record.
  • Active and clear DEA license.
  • Background check clearance in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to client-centered, culturally sensitive care.
