United Digestive is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant to join our Midtown Endoscopy Center team. This role involves providing anesthesia support under the supervision of a qualified anesthesiologist, with no night or weekend shifts, and no call responsibilities. The position offers a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care in a outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-screening evaluations via telephone and chart review prior to procedures.
  • Assist anesthesiologists in gathering pre-operative data and conducting preliminary assessments.
  • Administer pre-anesthetic medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Prepare equipment, monitors, supplies, and drugs for sedation and anesthesia administration, ensuring safety checks.
  • Administer prescribed anesthetic agents, analgesics, and fluids to facilitate anesthesia.
  • Manage airway and respiratory support during and after procedures.
  • Evaluate patient response to anesthesia and intervene as necessary during recovery.
  • Participate in post-anesthesia care and emergency response procedures, including basic life support.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Anesthesia.
  • Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
  • Licensure as an Anesthesiologist Assistant in Georgia.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Experience with airway management and anesthesia procedures preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a care team.
  • Strong patient safety and quality improvement focus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of anesthesia protocols and safety standards.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.
