Emory Specialty Associates (ESA) is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAA) to provide anesthesia services within Emory Healthcare's integrated academic system. The role involves administering anesthesia, monitoring patients, and supporting perioperative care across various outpatient surgical centers in the Atlanta area. The position offers a full-time schedule with no night call requirements and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration of general and regional anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist.
  • Perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed.
  • Interpret and record patient physiological and pharmacological data during perioperative care.
  • Gather routine preoperative data and assist anesthesiologists in patient assessment.
  • Establish and monitor multi-parameter patient monitoring, including ECG, blood pressure, blood gases, and temperature.
  • Manage pre- and post-anesthetic care, including ventilatory support and ventilator management.
  • Instruct staff and patients in anesthesia principles, respiratory care, and CPR as directed.
  • Support research projects and assist in developing anesthesia and intensive care monitoring protocols.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $230,000 - $260,000 annually based on experience.
  • Compensation model includes salary plus incentives.
  • Additional income opportunities include loan repayment and CME allowances.
  • W-2 tax status.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited CRNA or CAA master's degree program.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Georgia.
  • Certified by NBCRNA or NCCAA.
  • Maintain biannual certification through Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work full-time, with no night call required, on 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts.
  • Experience in anesthesia administration and patient monitoring preferred.
  • Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills.
  • Ability to work in multiple outpatient surgical settings across the Atlanta area.
  • Commitment to professional development and adherence to certification renewal requirements.
