The Assistant Vice President for Iredell Physician Network is a leadership role responsible for managing provider relationships, overseeing clinical operations across multiple specialties, and driving strategic growth and quality improvement initiatives within the network. The AVP collaborates with organizational leaders to develop new programs, ensure compliance, and foster a collegial healthcare environment focused on delivering high-quality outpatient services in Iredell County.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with providers, practice staff, patients, and community partners.
• Lead clinical areas including Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, Cardiovascular, Pediatrics, Neurospine, Psychiatry, ENT, Urology, Pain Management, and Orthopedics.
• Coordinate network-wide quality improvement, safety initiatives, and accreditation processes.
• Assist in developing and implementing new programs, services, and practice lines.
• Oversee staffing needs, recruitment, retention, and staff development.
• Serve as a liaison to collaborative practice partners and community organizations.
• Work with leadership to identify opportunities for service expansion and practice growth.
• Participate in administrative functions including meetings, councils, and strategic planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field; MBA or MHA preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience as a Director, AVP, or VP in healthcare.
• 10-15 years of healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Clinical experience is preferred.
• Urgent care experience highly desired, with 1-3 years preferred.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience in developing practice metrics and dashboards.
• Proficiency in business software such as Word, Outlook, Excel.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with medical staff, nursing staff, and management.
• Demonstrated strategic expertise in relationship building, service line development, and revenue growth.
