OhioHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant with an oncology background to join their growing oncology program. The role involves inpatient care with opportunities to cross-cover clinic, supporting the mission to improve community health. The position offers a collaborative practice environment with flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient oncology care and participate in cross-covering outpatient clinics as needed.
• Collaborate with a team of physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Manage patient assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up in accordance with clinical guidelines.
• Utilize electronic medical records and electronic prescribing systems for documentation and medication management.
• Participate in weekend rotations, typically 1 in 4 weekends, and night shifts (approximately 3 per month).
• Contribute to the growth and development of the oncology program within the healthcare system.
• Maintain licensure and stay current with oncology treatment protocols and best practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Compensation

• Sign-on bonus of $7,500 (taxable, W-2).
• Compensation model based on value-based payment structure.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• PA license in Ohio.
• Experience in oncology or prior PA experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and electronic prescribing systems.
