The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) position at Uptown Community Health Center in Denver, Colorado, involves providing comprehensive women's reproductive healthcare, including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecological care. Responsibilities

  • Conduct postpartum checkups, monitor healing, and provide breastfeeding support.
  • Perform gynecological exams, provide contraception counseling, and address gynecological concerns.
  • Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, infant feeding, and family planning.
  • Collaborate with obstetrician/gynecologists and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
  • Work with medical students and residents as an educator in clinical, triage, and labor and delivery settings.
  • Provide patient care independently across various settings, utilizing sound clinical judgment and up-to-date medical information.

Compensation

  • Hourly pay rate between USD 50.39 and USD 77.45.
  • Compensation is provided on a W-2 basis.
  • Position offers no loan assistance.

Shift & Schedule

  • Variable days and shift timings, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Colorado.
  • Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
  • Certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
  • Valid DEA registration in applicable state.
  • Full Colorado Prescriptive Authority.
  • BLS certification.
  • At least two years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife; four years preferred.
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including those with limited income, education, or non-English speakers.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
