Advance Community Health is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychotherapy, medication management, and behavioral evaluations to clients with mental health, developmental, and substance use disorders. The role involves clinical assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with supervising psychiatrists, within a community health setting in the Triangle area of North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapy sessions, medication assessments, and crisis interventions for new and existing clients.
• Develop individualized service plans based on assessment data and provide ongoing medication management.
• Provide consultation and health education to staff, caregivers, and clients regarding treatment and medication needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, including service plans, progress notes, and treatment reviews, in compliance with organizational and third-party standards.
• Receive medical supervision from a psychiatrist in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with social work and ancillary staff as appropriate.
• Communicate issues promptly to supervising physicians and administration.
• Participate in provider meetings and maintain licensure, CME, and credentialing requirements.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Work hours are 8 hours per day, daytime schedule.
• No remote work option at this time.

Requirements

• Licensed FNP, PMHNP, or PA-C in North Carolina.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Active DEA license.
• Two to three years of experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, preferably in community health.
• Two or more years of psychiatric or addiction treatment experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and respond to patient satisfaction concerns.
