The RAMC Walk-In Care Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an as-needed, per diem role. The provider will work within their scope of practice to deliver comprehensive, safe, and efficient patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, and care coordination for patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care independently within the scope of practice, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management.
• Provide patient education and health promotion.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare team members, including physicians and nursing staff.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to clinical protocols and legal requirements.
• Utilize appropriate technological support in a clinical setting.
• Prioritize multiple patient needs calmly and efficiently.
• Follow Wisconsin state laws and regulations related to clinical practice.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule based on patient volume and clinic needs.
• Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM, as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current licensure as an RN and APNP/PA in Wisconsin.
• Board-certified as an adult Nurse Practitioner or Family Practitioner.
• BLS certification.
• Meet health requirements.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities calmly.
• Knowledge of legal responsibilities as per Wisconsin law.
