The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), specifically a Physician Assistant (PA), will join the outpatient epilepsy team at Westchester Medical Center. The role involves evaluating and managing patients in the epilepsy clinic, coordinating care with the epilepsy team, and supporting outpatient workflows. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, holidays, or call, in an academic environment with mentorship and professional growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and follow patients in the outpatient epilepsy clinic.
• Coordinate care with EMU attendings and epilepsy faculty.
• Manage routine follow-up visits, patient education, and medication adjustments.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedural patient care.
• Collaborate with front desk, EEG, and surgical teams to optimize workflows.
• Support device management and neuromodulation protocols.
• Participate in outpatient clinic operations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with epileptologists on continuity of care and program development.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Board-certified or eligible Physician Assistant with NYS licensure.
• Experience in neurology or academic medicine preferred; new graduates considered.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

• Active BLS certification.
