The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will serve as a licensed independent provider, delivering primary and urgent care to seminary and college students, alumni, staff, and their families. This part-time role involves providing preventative, general, and urgent care, including physicals and women's exams, with a flexible schedule that becomes consistent once established.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventative, general, and urgent care to patients
  • Conduct physical examinations and women's annual exams
  • Diagnose, prescribe, and treat illnesses
  • Document patient encounters using the clinic's electronic medical records system
  • Follow up independently on care provided and ordered
  • Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and office staff to deliver patient care
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Shift & Schedule

  • Part-time hours: either two nurses practitioners working 15 hours/week each or one working 28 hours/week

Requirements

  • Board Certified APRN with licensure in Kentucky or Board Certified Physician Assistant with licensure in Kentucky
  • 3-5 years of experience as a family practice APRN or PA (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
  • Basic suturing skills and phlebotomy skills preferred
  • Comfortable working in a clinical environment with medical equipment such as AED and CLIA-waived lab testing
  • Excellent communication and clinical skills
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate part-time hours
  • Ability to follow established protocols and procedures
